Yet regardless of the results at Holyrood, Mr Johnson has told the Daily Telegraph he would reject calls for a second Scottish independence referendum, even if Nicola Sturgeon secures an SNP majority. He told the paper a referendum “in the current context is irresponsible and reckless”. The Telegraph says Ms Sturgeon is on track for a strong performance in the Holyrood election, but it is not clear if she will secure a majority.
