On the front page of The Daily Telegraph is a piece about social media platforms facing harsher sanctions for not protecting children from “online harms”.Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden also tells the paper that “enough is enough” and that illegal content such as hate speech needs to be policed by platforms like Twitter and Facebook.

Times Front Page 11th of May 2021

The Times, like most of the papers, leads with Boris Johnson’s confirmation of a major easing of coronavirus restrictions next Monday.It says hugs will be allowed for the first time in more than a year, pubs and restaurants can serve inside, cinemas and theatres can reopen, and five people will be able to visit care home residents.However, it adds that the PM has urged people not to “throw caution to the wind”.
