There are fears that the airport queues crisis is here to stay for months, the Daily Mirror says. The paper says that chronic staff shortages caused the queuing mayhem at UK airports – meaning half-term getaways were ruined. The Unite union blamed aviation chiefs for mass sackings during the pandemic, saying: “This is a crisis of their own making”, the paper adds.
