The head of Britain’s armed forces has described the Russia-Ukraine war as a “1937 moment” for the UK – comparing the invasion with the rise of Nazi Germany, the Daily Telegraph reports. General Sir Patrick Sanders said more British troops must be ready for conflict at any moment, in remarks that will “put pressure” on Prime Minister Boris Johnson to maintain the size of the UK’s military, the paper says.
