It is the same story on the front page of the Daily Mirror, which reports that the big Easter getaway began at a “snail’s pace” on Thursday with 90-minute ferry queues and French strikes leading to cancellations of flights and train journeys. There is good news, however, as the paper says temperatures will reach highs of 18C in parts of the country this Bank Holiday weekend.
