The mother of Alfie Lewis, the 15-year-old who died after being stabbed near a school in Leeds on Tuesday, fell to her knees and cried “Why?” when she visited the scene on Wednesday, according to the Mirror. The paper describes Alfie as “another victim of the knife crime epidemic” and says the mum of another teenager killed in a stabbing has demanded that the government take action on the issue.
