Following Vladimir Putin’s announcement that reservists would fight in Ukraine, more than 1,300 Russians have been arrested.

After the state funeral of his mother, the Queen, earlier this week, Metro leads with the King’s return to Balmoral.

As the country prepares for the Queen’s state funeral, the headline on the front of the Metro reads, “Now carry her home.”

“Prince William reveals emotional toll of Queen’s death”, reads Metro’s front page.

The Metro reports that Prince William and Prince Harry will walk behind the Queen’s coffin on Wednesday along with King Charles.

The front of the Metro is dominated by an image of the Queen’s coffin draped in the Scottish flag.

In tomorrow’s Metro, the front page features a photograph of the Queen, along with her living years.
