The Daily Mirror joins several other papers to feature developments in the Ryan Giggs trial, with former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson telling jurors he had never seen the ex-footballer lose his temper. Sir Alex, who was called as a witness for the defence, said Mr Giggs had a “fantastic temperament”. The ex-Manchester United player denies controlling behaviour and assaulting his ex-girlfriend Kate Greville. He also denies assaulting Ms Greville’s younger sister.
