The Daily Telegraph also leads on the government’s plan for GPs, saying that surgeries will be told they must respect patients’ preferences for face-to-face appointments. Some GPs could consider using the funding to extend opening hours to free up more appointments, the paper says. The latest monthly data show that 58% of appointments were face-to-face, down from 80% before the pandemic.
