“Britain has the worst inflation in the G7” headlines the Telegraph as it reports that UK inflation is at a higher rate than in America or major eurozone countries. Economist Martin Beck told the paper: “We have got the US’s excess demand for workers and the Europeans’ massive energy bill issues, so we have the worst of both worlds when it comes to inflation.”
