Government plans for school guidelines on the issue of transgender pupils appear on the front of the Daily Telegraph – guidance will be published next week. The paper also carries a story about pressure being put on the government to scrap the so-called ‘tourist tax’, which stops visitors to Britain from outside the EU claiming back 20% VAT on their shopping purchases – a change which came into force in 2021.
