The Financial Times reports that Belarus has said the 30,000 Russian troops taking part in drills in the country will stay there indefinitely. The paper says that the announcement by Belarus came on the day the joint military exercises between Moscow and Minsk were scheduled to end. The paper notes that it has added to Western concerns that the Kremlin is planning an invasion of Ukraine, with as many as 190,000 troops on the border.
