Russia’s announcement that it will be refocusing its war in Ukraine on the Donbas region leads a number of Saturday’s papers. The Financial Times quotes an official at the country’s defence ministry claiming that capturing major cities like Kyiv and Kharkiv had never been part of Moscow’s plans, though it adds that Western officials remain sceptical about the extent of the shift.
