The Financial Times reports that leaders of the G7 group of major economies are seeking to impose a price cap on Russian oil in an effort to curb Moscow’s ability to finance its war in Ukraine. The paper says that Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi told his fellow leaders that energy price caps were needed because “we must reduce the amount of money going to Russia and get rid of one of the main causes of inflation”, according to officials.
