Some of the world’s biggest companies have issued warnings about the continued rise in their costs and its impact on prices, the Financial Times reports. Monday saw Amazon announce a £1 increase in the monthly cost of its Prime service, citing higher operating costs, while Unilever described a “truly unprecedented cost landscape”. McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, and Walmart have also warned of price rises, changes which the paper says will “heap more pressure on households”.
