The Mirror splashes on what it calls a “free school meals scandal” – reporting one million kids are set to go hungry. Boris Johnson is snubbing a plea to extend free school meals in his new strategy for food in England to be announced on Monday, according to the paper. An independent review for the government had recommended ministers extend free school meals to all in children in Universal Credit households.
