The Financial Times says the UN estimates that more than 423,000 people have already been internally displaced in Gaza. It also quotes Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas, who met with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in Jordan on Friday, saying that a forced displacement would amount to a “second Nakba”, a term meaning “catastrophe”.
Sources suggest the UK has moved past its technical recession with first-quarter growth surpassing that of the US and Eurozone, a positive development for Rishi Sunak.
