Several of Sunday’s papers continue to cover the mounting questions facing police after the conviction of Wayne Couzens. The Sunday Times reveals that Couzens was deployed to guard MPs at the Houses of Parliament at least five times, despite having a history of sexual deviance. Couzens was given a whole-life sentence last week for the kidnap, rape and murder of Sarah Everard, 33. He was a serving Met police officer at the time he committed the crimes. Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle said he was “extremely concerned” by the new disclosures and would be seeking urgent answers from Met Police Commissioner Dame Cressida Dick.
