The Sunday Times reports that an ambulance trust has been “caught covering up damning evidence about deaths linked to mistakes by paramedics”. The paper says managers at the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) “filtered out inconvenient facts” to stop families and coroners learning the full circumstances of how individuals died in more than 90 cases. The NEAS said it had made “significant improvements” since a “task-and-finish group” was concluded in January 2021, the paper reports.
